Graphene Power Products

Graphene Power’s own proprietary process for producing graphene from graphite is based on the chelation method. It works on the principle of applying a voltage that drives certain ions to intercalate (become inserted) into the carbon layers. The resulting expansion pushes the layers apart.

This high-yield exfoliation process enables graphite-to-graphene conversion rates above 95%, giving Graphene Power a significant operating cost advantage over other graphene suppliers.

The Graphene Power’s plant is capable of mass producing 100,000 kg of high-quality GrapPower® graphene products per annum. The facilities are designed for rapid and inexpensive upscaling and replication of plants in other regions is possible, at low cost. Bulk packaging is available to deal with orders in tonnes rather than kilograms.

The resulting graphene agglomerates are not soluble or re-dispersable in water or other polar solvents‚ and this makes further processing difficult. Our Dispersible Graphene avoids this problem and can be redispersed in many solvents.

MB-EVA formulation extends the masterbatch product range, increasing applications for blending in elastomers such as rubber systems and plastics, as well as thermoplastics.

The vinyl acetate content of the base polymer brings softness, flexibility and polarity and can potentially be compatible with resins, waxes and adhesives.

In this case we are referring to fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, which typically use glass, carbon, aramid or natural fibres in combination with polymer resins. GrapPower® graphene is generally mixed with the resin prior to combination with the textile reinforcement.

GrapPower® graphene concrete, mortar and cement additives give stronger, more durable concrete structures enabling novel and potentially greener approaches in building and infrastructure project design. External testing show a 34% increase in the compressive strength and a 27% increase in the tensile strength of cement mortar, when tested to international standard methods.

Graphene flame-retardant epoxy resin

GrapPower® can reduce the fire risk of epoxy resin which is mostly reflected in the following two aspects. For one thing, it reduces PHRR and THR during the combustion test of epoxy resin, increases the amount of char residue after combustion and the LOI value.

Graphene coated textiles are potentially ideal for wearable technologies. Not only can they improve the resistance to wear, abrasion and tearing, they also provide greater thermal and electrical conductivity.
